Community Involvement

As part of our mission to “perform charitable works and foster social interaction within the community,” the Italian Club of Dallas proudly supports charitable  organizations across the DFW area through financial donations and hands-on volunteer efforts by our members. Below are the primary outreach recipients we support.

Your generosity and involvement help us make a real difference.
Whether through a donation or by volunteering your time, you can be part of something meaningful.

Donate today or get involved and help us strengthen our community — together.

Italian Studies Program – Our Scholarship Winners

The ICD Scholarship Program is an important part of our Club’s outreach. It follows our mission statement “to preserve the Italian language, culture and traditions.”

Through this program, the ICD annually awards a scholarship to a student studying in Italy.  This year the ICD Board agreed to offer two $1000 scholarships, one for a University of Dallas student and one to a student with our new partner SMU.

Each recipient has an enthusiasm for the  Italian language and culture, participates in a study program in Italy,  exemplifies  scholarship, and studies Italian as a declared major or minor.

Special Olympics of North Texas

The Italian Club of Dallas has been a proud supporter of the Special Olympics of North Texas for over 25 years!

ICD volunteers look forward every year to officiating at the Bocce game competition of Special Olympics in the DFW area.

The ICD sponsored  Bocce Tournament at the annual DFW Italian Festival raises money in support of Special Olympics.

Our Neighbors are Family

Food and family are core elements of being Italian.  The ICD supports the North Texas Food Bank with food donations during the year, particularly at Christmas and St Joseph’s Day.
